Lipton seat Badulla is one of the most beautiful places not only in the district but also in one place. The tea world in Sri Lanka is known as ‘Lipton Tea’. Not only the natural beauty, but also the legends of the plantation state of Sri Lanka, are a big draw.
Lipton seat Tea Estate is located at the foothills of the Haputale Dambetenna and Bandarawela Poonagala.
First let’s see how Lipton goes. There are two roads. One runs through the beautiful, mountain ranges that pass through Haputale via Dambethenna but still maintains a well maintained road. If not then go to Bandarawela – Poonagala road. The beauty of the two roads is that the fairies in the middle of the mist may not even know.
Sir Thomas J. Cooper joined James Taylor, who introduced tea cultivation to Sri Lanka. Lipton took Sri Lankan tea to Europe. In the meantime he came to Dambethenna and developed a massive estate there. It’s all around Thomas Lipton’s tea estate. From Haputale to Bandarawela, this tea estate and its associated tea plantations have spread. The biggest tea factory in Sri Lanka is located at Dambethenna. It was once called the best black tea factory in the world.
This Dambatenna estate is 925 acres. The most beautiful place in the estate is the highest point in the Pudawan Watta for a 360 degree view.
