Lipton seat Badulla is one of the most beautiful places not only in the district but also in one place. The tea world in Sri Lanka is known as ‘Lipton Tea’. Not only the natural beauty but also the legends of the plantation state of Sri Lanka are a big draw.
Lipton seat Tea Estate is located at the foothills of the Haputale Dambetenna and Bandarawela Poonagala.

First, let’s see how Lipton goes. There are two roads. One runs through the beautiful, mountain ranges that pass through Haputale via Dambethenna but still maintains a well-maintained road. If not then go to Bandarawela – Poonagala road. The beauty of the two roads is that the fairies in the middle of the mist may not even know.

Sir Thomas J. Cooper joined James Taylor, who introduced tea cultivation to Sri Lanka. Lipton took Sri Lankan tea to Europe. In the meantime, he came to Dambethenna and developed a massive estate there. It’s all around Thomas Lipton’s tea estate. From Haputale to Bandarawela, this tea estate and its associated tea plantations have spread. The biggest tea factory in Sri Lanka is located at Dambethenna. This Dambatenna estate is 925 acres. The most beautiful place in the estate is the highest point in the Pudawan Watta for a 360-degree view.
From Lipton Seat, you can see Uva, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Eastern, and Central provinces simultaneously. But it has to be good luck. If you go here on a day when there is no fog, you are in luck. From Lipton City, in the afternoon and evening from January to March, the heavens are only a short distance away.

When there is no fog in the evening and early morning, you can see the light of the Devinuwara Lighthouse as well as the lighthouses of Trincomalee and Kirindiwela from Lipton seat.

If there is no fog at the time, you can see the Nuwara Eliya side of the Central Province, the Sri Pada of Sabaragamuwa Province as well as the Eheliyagoda side, the Batticaloa side of the Eastern Province, the newly built harbor in the South and the Badulla side.
