Saman Devalaya – This place of worship is committed to God Maha Sumana Saman, one of the four gatekeeper divinities of the island. God Sumana Saman was available when Lord Buddha visited the island for the subsequent time. God Saman is recorded as having met the Buddha on the last’s first visit to the island when he visited Mahiyangana to drive away from the yakkhas. In the unbelievable history, Sumana Saman welcomed Lord Buddha to the Adam’s Peak (Samanalakanda) and on-demand Lord Buddha left his impression on the stone at top of the mountain as a token of representative love without the Buddha. God Maha Sumana Saman is portrayed delegated, bejeweled, holding a lotus bloom in his correct hand and joined by a trinket.
